The TNCA-Hercules Roadeo under-14 inter-schools cricket tournament will begin on July 21, while the under-16 tournament will commence in August.

The announcement was made at a press conference, here on Saturday. TI Cycles will sponsor both the tournaments.

A total of 68 and 70 teams will take part in the under-14 and under-16 categories respectively.

The tournament will be played in knockout format till the pre-quarterfinal stage.

Eight teams will then compete in the quarterfinal league, and four of those will qualify for the semifinals (knockout).

The matches will be played on a 30-overs-a-side basis till the pre-quarterfinals, and on a 50-overs-a-side basis from the quarterfinal league onwards.

The matches will be played at St. Bede’s ‘A’ & ‘B’, Gandhinagar, Areva ‘A’ & ‘B’, and SRMC (Matting).
