Chennai: In all, 5000 cyclists are expected to take part in the BSA Hercules Chennai Cycling 2012 to be held here on February 26. The race will start from Kamaraja Salai and will include 200 professional cyclists in the men’s and women’s nationals. Apart from that, events will be held in categories such as – kid’s ride, green ride, ride for a cause and amateur ride. The event is organized by CRX sports under the aegis of Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT).

The main objective of the race is to organize India’s largest cycling event and green movement apart from promoting healthy living and spreading the awareness of green transport among the general masses. The United Way of Chennai, a world famous NGO, has extended its full support to help the under privileged and physically challenged people through the event.
